OUR History

Simcha Layeled and its sister organization, Israel Special Kids Fund were founded in 2002 by Ilan Grobman after he recognized that many children with chronic illnesses were not receiving crucial support from any existing organization. To fill this gap and address the urgent need, Simcha LaYeled was established with the mission of providing support and friendship for these children.

OUR Children

The children in our care struggle with physical disabilities, chronic diseases, genetic diseases, and rare genetic syndromes. We also service children undergoing intensive rehabilitation due to burns, car accidents and terror attacks. We improve the lives of over 20,000 seriously ill children across Israel each year.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to empower children and youth with severe physical disabilities to lead lives of independence and equality within society.

OUR Vision

Our vision at Simcha Layeled/Israel Special Kids Fund is to improve the quality of life for every child and adolescent in Israel who suffers from physical disabilities and illness.
